Dear Fellow Quilter,
It is typical spring weather isn’t it. Yesterday I was in my shorts, today I am writing this in my winter long sleeve top with a singlet underneath. It’s just as I well I hadn’t done my usual spring “put away the winter clothes” exercise.
This month I completed Charlotte’s Mystery Quilt, and I was totally wrong in my attempts to put it together in Month Five. Charlotte you certainly got the mystery bit right! A beautiful quilt, and I would never have attempted a pattern like this otherwise.
Remember to put your completed quilt up on our facebook page.
Now that I see how the colours work together I am going to do it again with a totally different colourway.
I have been using the little wooden tool I made which saves time in ironing by pressing seams down when piercing blocks. Then I thought this is so handy for me that I have made several so I can give them away this month – one with each order over $30 (ex delivery charges). If you spend $60 you will get 2. I have made a blog and a short video on how to use it, and how to make one yourself if you want to.
And don’t forget our new Haberdashery section where we are now stocking your most used needles, pins and other similiar products.
Please forward this newsletter to your friends so they can join our newsletter list and be kept up to date with the mystery quilt. The form is on our front page.
Enjoy guilt-free quilting (while the weather is still bad) …. Carol…
Pacific Stars Mystery Quilt – The last block!
A nifty tool to save ironing:Free with orders over $30, during October.
I have been using this for sometime now and I thought it would be a good idea to make some to give away and to also show everyone how to make their own.
I have made a quick blog with a video on my site, here, and have made enough to give one away with all orders over $30 (excluding delivery costs) during October. And if you spend $60 you get 2.
It’s an easy way to press your seams when you are piercing blocks.
Another one of those handy tools you can’t do without!
