Dear Fellow Quilter,
I have been at home over the key holiday period, it gets very quiet and is a good chance to tidy up the sewing room and clear out more UFOs. Last Christmas holidays I completed lots of quilt tops, these holidays I quilted and bound them all. (I hand stitched the binding while binge-watching The Crown.)
While finishing off these quilts I ended up with lots of strips from the edges, I have done a special video on what I did with them all, see below. You will also see on the video that I am using my squaring up ruler, due to popular demand I will be bringing this back soon and will make on request.
Now my stash is really down and I have already started on my next project, getting it ready for the February newsletter.
So, while I am working on what’s next, I thought I would give you something different for January, hence the pack of charms and some “Handmade” labels, and a reminder that you shouldn’t be cutting with blunt blades!
Have fun, and enjoy the summer ….. Carol
